Still Alive!

Greetings from Arvika- me and Erik just got off stage and the sweat is still running freely. Erik's sampler sadly didn't live to see the end of this show. It actually broke right at the start and yet again I had the rare moment of being happy I don't speak Swedish when he started yelling random things. I just tried to keep going as usual.

It was a great audience and they were very forgiving. We actually were going to have to cancel the show because of some light rain but it stopped just as it was time to go on! We're going to check out Fever Ray from the sound booth later thanks to some inside friends. I saw Fever Ray's show in Stockholm a few months ago and its one of the best concerts I've been too so I'm really happy to see some of it again. Let's hope the rain stays away for the rest of the weekend...

After working Glastonbury Festival in England for years its really refreshing to see such a "nice" music festival- everyone giving out cups of water to the audience at the concerts, safety workers escorting strolling performers on their routes, and a nice size to not get lost in or run a marathon to see the next band on time. The latest rumor I heard here is that Michael Jackson died from swine flu. I know that's not funny at all and its even less funny as I catch a bus tonight to Arlanda Airport in Stockholm to fly to America for a 4 week tour. They take their swine flu very seriously over there I hear...

So if I make it through the next month alive, I hope to come back to Arvika next year for sure! A huge tusen tack to Riks for having me and Erik come and have some fun with everyone!

Bless,
Jay Gilligan (& Erik Nilsson)
